COVID-19 UPDATE

Coronavirus Update

It is very challenging times for all of us and our first priority is to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Please know that people with COVID-19 can be asymptomatic and still be contagious. There is no way to completely protect ourselves from this virus.

We are now able to offer Sports Massage and Pregnancy Massage

appointments at our Parkstone, Poole clinic

There are some changes in the process that we need you to be aware of to ensure the highest infection control.

We ask that you educate yourself on our new procedures in place to ensure everyone’s safety.

We have all had to adapt to living and working differently, and our new measures are intended to improve the safety for all concerned.

If you have any concerns or questions relating to any of the measures we have introduced or adopted, please do get in touch.

Please find an overview for our COVID-19 procedures below.

It is very important that you only attend an appointment if you are safe and well to do so.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation and support.

We look forward to seeing you all again.

Updated 22nd April 2021 - We are open as usual from the 12th April.

Overview of procedures

We have extensive cleaning procedures in place, all common/high traffic areas will be cleaned with disinfectant between every client.

We have modified our diary to ensure there are 15 minutes between appts to reduce client to client contact, allow for changing of PPE and allow for the necessary cleaning.

All unnecessary items and soft furnishings will be removed from our treatment rooms.

All therapists will be wearing PPE, a mask and/or a visor.

We will be reducing the use of towels; fabric treatment table covers will not be used, couch roll will be used to cover the treatment table instead; and all laundry will continue to be strictly single use.

Before your appointment, we ask you to check your temperature, and consider if you are safe to attend and experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms. If you answer yes to any of our Covid-19 screening questions, we ask that you please postpone or cancel your appointment.

If you are someone that has been identified as being ‘extremely vulnerable’ to developing severe illness from contracting Covid-19 and have been advised to shield by the NHS during this time, we advise that you protect yourself and therefore, please contact us to discuss your appointment.

There will be no use of our waiting areas, therefore, please only arrive and enter the premises no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time.

Please attend your appointment alone, bring as little as possible into the treatment room with you and place all belongings into the container provided.

We ask that all clients are asked to wear a mask throughout your appointment, on arrival, you will be asked to wash or sanitise your hands, there are extra facilities to allow for this, and practice social distancing at all points that are possible during your appointment.

We encourage all clients and therapists to follow the NHS contact tracing procedures, and to inform us if you develop symptoms within 14 days of attending an appointment with us.

If any of our therapists begin to experience any symptoms of Covid-19 they will cancel your appointment and follow self-isolation and contact tracing guidelines appropriately.

Coronavirus Symptoms:

We ask all clients to keep on top of screening yourself for symptoms of coronavirus.

The most common symptoms of coronavirus are the recent onset of a fever, a new continuous dry cough, and a loss of taste or smell.

If you experience these symptoms, or answer yes to our COVID-19 screening questions (below), however mild, please contact us as soon as you can and use the NHS online coronavirus service to check your symptoms and request a test.
